Joining Grossdeutschland

If you are interested in joining GD, you will find us to be a very friendly group which will make you feel most welcome and a valuable member of one of the UK’s top German re-enactment units.

Re-enactment is a wonderfully rewarding hobby if done properly and GD has an enviable record both on and off the field. You will be helped and looked after from the moment you join.

As a member of GD we will teach you the correct period arms-drill, unit combat manoeuvres and formation marching. You will be shown how to handle safely, all GD’s weapons and their use.

Hot meals, tea and coffee are provided to members for a very small fee at most shows. The unit also has a large ‘barrack’ tent for your accomodation.

We want you to join GD because you want to become a well rounded superb re-enactor who can hold his head up and be proud to be one of the true ‘elite’ of the re-enactment world. As such, we only want those new members who are willing to become part of the GD team - there is a 4 show probationary period to allow you to decide if we are the group for you. Upon completion you will have become a member of one of the UK’s finest German re-enactment groups, with a pride in your appearance, your abilities and your unit.
